Last weeks vacation was beyond relaxing. By relaxing, I literally mean drinks by the pool/ocean all day long while soaking up the beautiful Cuban sun. Drinking all day sounds fun, but I did manage to get some exercise in while playing beach volleyball & getting some salsa dance lessons. After roasting in the sun all day, my friends and I would go to dinner and then experience the exciting nightly entertainment.
There were lots of dinner options at the resort, but the best thing to do was to book dinners at the a la carte restaurants. Not only did these have the most amazing food, but there was tons of variety which included: Italian, International and Cuban. The international food was my go-to restaurant for dinner. I had the fish plate, twice, it was marvelous! I don’t know if it was just because we had been eating the buffet food all week, or if it was actually amazing tasting food (maybe a bit of both!). If you read reviews, or have been to Cuba yourself, then you know the food isn’t the greatest. Lucky for me, I am not a picky person when it comes to food, so I was able to get by just fine. Not going to lie, it was so nice to come home to a beautiful cheese pizza and extra saucy chicken wings.
Another highlight of my vacation was something most people take for granted, the ocean; warm, calm and blue! Not only was it beautiful, but it felt so good on my skin. I don’t know if it’s just a myth, but I read that salt water is good for psoriasis, and if you don’t know that I have it, you do now! Anyways, the small patches on my legs have turned from a bright red to a faded white. The sun tanning helped it fade to my natural skin tone. Another reason I need to move somewhere sunny all year round!
I cannot wait for my next adventure! Where do you guys think I should go next?!
