During our wonderful stay in Iceland, checking out some of the tourist spots was number one on our list of things to do. Bus Travel Iceland is the perfect company to take you to all the amazing places Iceland has to offer. We only had time to do one tour, so we decided to try the Golden Circle tour. This tour highlighted the South West of Iceland. One of our favourite stops was the Geysir geothermal area. This is where the active hot springs are located and steaming water erupted 30 meters in the air every 8 minutes. It was simply amazing! The views from the mountain were unforgettable. We got some great footage and it will be in our Europe 2016 YouTube video.

The iconic waterfall of Iceland; Gullfoss or the Golden Falls is located in the glacial river Hvita. This was a breath-taking natural wonder to see. We were able to walk right up to the falls and capture some neat shots. If you’re brave enough to walk through the mist and down to the falls, we suggest you bring an umbrella or a poncho, something to keep your clothes dry so you don’t catch a cold. We recommend walking right up to it for the best experience.

Þingvellir National Park is another stop on the tour. It is a historic and geologic wonder that you don’t want to miss. There are North American and Eurasian tectonic plates that are being pulled apart at a rate of a few centimeters per year. Read more about it here.

The volcanic crater lake Kerio shaped as an oval and 270 m long – 170 m wide – 55 m deep. This was another adventurous stop as we were standing right on the edge of a volcano!

Our tour guide was very kind and had a great sense of humour. He was very knowledgeable about each place we stopped at. Overall, we had a great experience with Bus Travel Iceland and would recommend it to anyone visiting the country. There are so many options to choose from and they all look amazing. There really is something for everyone. So check out their website here: Bus Travel Iceland and start planning your next adventure!
