Winter in Canada comes quickly after a short 2 months of “fall” weather. Brace yourselves and let’s get ready for winter with some of the top trends this season. If you read my blog often, then you know I’m a fond lover of celeb fashion inspiration. The reason being; stylish celebs are seen wearing collections seasons in advance, giving us insight on what clothes we should be looking for and buying for the upcoming season.
Who I am currently loving:
No one else rocks a sporty chic look quite like Bella Hadid. She is the reason I am at the Adidas store every day looking for new pieces to add to my closet. From her airport arrivals to her day’s off, she rocks pretty much any look she tries. Thigh High Boots and oversized sweaters is a trend Bella rocked during the fall season. This is a huge trend to help transition from your fall-winter wardrobe.
Kendall Jenner is a big style inspiration of mine because she really knows how to spice up a comfortable look with a bold statement piece. One trend I love (and Kendall rock’s this look) is the velvet slip dress. This dress is such a versatile piece to have in your wardrobe this winter. You know I love these pieces that can be worn different ways & this dress is one of those items. You can literally wear it bare with nothing underneath to go out at night. Or, if you’re wearing it as a casual piece during the winter, you might want to throw on a long sleeve turtleneck underneath for a winter appropriate look.
Sweatpants and hoodies are alway a popular choice for winter. Gigi Hadid makes any outfit look chic with the right accessories. Honestly, I’ve been searching for the perfect hoodie and sweats combo that I can actually wear in public and it’s not as hard as you think. With a cool pair of white kicks and a casual choker, you will look comfy chic. This is my favourite current trend because who wouldn’t love to wear a comfy chic outfit in public?
By now you should realize you should definitely own a great tracksuit for your errands/weekend days, a pair of thigh highs you can wear during the day or on a Friday night out. A velvet slip dress is also essential to dress up and down, and a couple of oversized sweaters are always useful. The most simple winter we’ve ever had to style!
